one more time, one more day ... 11!
so Rhoda, that was your invitation. come on board, i'd luv to have ya! just having a fun time with this bloggin' stuff! read, critique, have fun - say what you will! you, by the way, you would DOUBLE my blog-followers in one week's time!!! pretty impressive stats, huh? but more than that who's counting, and who cares?
I must say, as I sit in my backyard and look over the growth, I'm getting kind of antsy to do some of that gardening stuff.
Now I'm not a gardener and never will claim to be, but it's nice to say you had a hand - now Karina is the gardener!!!
I just follow directions!

well, that's about all I have to say for now.
enjoy your gardens!
g'nite.

Yeah, your readership is growing!
ReplyDeleteI wondered what Karina was holding in her fingertips...but w/o enlarging the photo, I'm pretty sure it is a marionberry that she is TEASING me with!
I made muffins tonight (no not your recipe...that will happen next week when Ben's family comes - I'll probably have to BUY!!!!! raspberries! ANyway I found some old (I'm not sayin' how old) blueberries in my freezer....so I added them to cranraisins and made some muffins. They are 'OK'. My low ebb came on Father's Day when I made Mark muffins and did not put in the sugar. ACK! They were horrid! So, every since then I try to make a point of putting in SUGAR and commenting on it when I'm making them and serving them.
Karina - I'm into the 5th book now and am a little sad that there is no 6th book. :( I've enjoyed each book immensely. The Cross Country Quilters was especially good (at least for me).
Thanks for the backyard review. I may make Mark take pix of our ditch for you to enjoy??? He's into prairie wildflowers in the ditch and is trying to ID them as they flower.
Well, okie-dokie, here I is! Thanks for letting me step aboard.
ReplyDeleteHey, I have REALLY FRESH blueberries in my freezer now. Mel and Barb Buescher brought back our 10# that we outbid everyone for at the auction for our Lutheran school in Waterloo. They are originally Michiganers and go back each year and pick 40# - we were the lucky bidders this year. She cans and freezes the rest each year. They are the really big ones and I was happy that I didn't have to do anything to them. Just put them in a big container from her container and she says, "Martha Stewart says not to clean them before freezing. Just take out what you need, rinse lightly in a strainer, and plunk them into the recipe." That's my kind of cookin', I think.
Today son Mark and husband Larry cleaned 6 dozen ears of corn, I cut the corn off the cobs, and bagged it for some mighty tasty meals this winter. We saved 3 dozen from what we got at church today for general cob-eating this week. It is wonderful and I was enjoying many morsels as I was cutting.
Dan, the sermons are AWESOME, the sound is great, and the only thing that would make it any better is if there was a video to watch. But, maybe, on second thought, this is better because I get distracted easily - ha!
Karina, I loved seeing the beans and peas, knowing that I got to help plant them. Such a lovely garden you have and it will produce well. I'll look forward to seeing the little guys climb those poles. Larry was happy to see everything looking so nice, also.
OK, I've taken up enough space and bored you long enough. Love you both, R and L
