QUICK UPDATE

Oh, what a great time in CA!
Thanks, Micah and Carrie, Zephyr and Bodhi!

We got back safely Saturday nite - direct flight to Seattle, then 40 minutes to re-board to Portland (33 minute flight); got car from lot and drove home by 10:00.  We were bushed, but overjoyed with the trip.
Zephyr is so growing - in stature, vocabulary, humor;  Bodhi just steals your heart - he actually warms up faster than his brother (at this stage) to others ... although it doesn't take Zephyr long.  Z loves trains and is into 'Thomas the Train' videos - "they're two they're four they're six they're eight ..." (for anyone who knows the song;  Bodhi is into music - especially "theme" music - eg. when the "Thomas" show starts or begins the credits at the end - read 'music' - he just starts shaking his body and dancing!  It is so cute.

Karina managed to catch a nasty cold somewhere along the line, and I'm sensing a sore throat as well.  Is that vicarious feelings, or the real thing???  I hope the former.

Gotta get ready for Advent this week ...

Can't add pictures, cuz' blogspot says my Picassa free account is full and I have to pay monthly fee to keep it going ... anyway to get around that? fellow bloggers???

Anyway ... a blessed Advent to all.

Will tell (show) what we're doing with the Worship Arts Committee, if I can do the pictures again.

Love ya.

Karina and Dan

  1. RE: your pix limit. Do you go to Picasa 1st and select the pictures you want to blog OR do you (as I do) enter your blog site and click on "New Post" (which is located in the upper right hand corner.

IF - in fact - you do enter your blog site and click on New Post....you might try this idea.

After selecting the 'insert image' icon, DO NOT select anything from the left hand side of the listing under upload. Don't click anything except on the right hand side header which reads: "Choose files". That will take you to your computer's options. Click on libraries/pictures. That's how I normally get my images for the blog.

Let me know if you were successful. We need to see pictures-you know - we are visual people.

    1. thanks for the information ... don't have time at the moment to check it out, but presently I just hit the "insert pix" icon on the "new Post" and do the "choose files" option; I will check out your back-door idea and see what happens.

yer right ... Pix are Hits!

  2. Uncle Dan - I've also had alerts that my account is "full" and I cannot add more pictures. I've found that blogger/picasa allows all pictures 800x600 pixles (or less) without counting against your used space. I do not resize or edit my pictures before uploading them to blogger. So I have to go in after the fact and resize them to be 800x600 pixles in my picasa web albums. It's easy, just kind of time consuming. This does not change their size on the blog.
    Perhaps that will help! :)
    Advent blessings to you!

  3. Hey, I don't have any advice or directions for you regarding picture sizing, resizing, or etc. Just a note to tell you that I'm all caught up again in reading your blog. Just because I don't comment from time-to-time doesn't mean that I've not been enjoying the journey.

Thankful that you got to El Cajon to enjoy the time with Micah's family and also that you are now safely home again. The time always goes quickly, but, it's always worth the effort, right?

The blessings of Advent to you both -

    We love you - R and L
