YES!!! WE MADE IT!

Without any problems, we made our way to the Midwest.  Up and going at 5:45 on Thursday - off to Denver at 8:30 - didn't know that to "upgrade" to an exit row would cost $50 each, but ohhhh the legroom was worth it.  Wasn't called upon to use my skills - the plane stayed in the air for the appropriate time.  Smooth travels and arrived at Soo Falls on time.  We're driving a Ford Fusion - not a bad vehicle; for me the selling point in the ambient lighting in the cup holder - you can make it teal, yellow, orange, red, purple, or a few other colors!  I'm sure I'd buy a Ford Fusion for this classy element.

Along the way we were prepared for any kind of weather - here's what we got in Denver:
when I lived in South Dakota we used to tell people,  "Welcome to S.D.  Set your watch back 10 years!"  Looks like now the Colorado mantra is set your watch back two months!  They're progressing.

We got "on the river" about 6pm; Rhoda and Larry about two hours later.

Friday meant tours began.  Off to "Pascha's Garden" or some such name;  I wasn't paying attention ... oops.

So the tours began.  "Welcome, folks.  Please stay in single file.  Please stay on the paths."
Very good, folks

Rhoda, get out of the flower pots ... the path is over here!

But, we got better ... our hosts were pleased.

and to prove we're still smiling and talking to each other ...

and the real reason we're all here ...

love ya.

Karina and Dan
