arrived in Scottsdale about 9:00 am (having left Flagstaff at 6:30-ish) and drove to K's apartment. Great little place! She had found it last Jan/Feb when she was here for interviews, etc. 2 bedroom, living room, dining room, 2 bath, covered patio (where I'm writing from even as I write - stealing somebody's WiFi); but nice ot connect with the real world. Met Andy, the principal; Matt, the 7th grade teacher; Susan, 3rd grade; who came to unload the truck; had it cleared in about an hour - done by 10:30; went to the school (Shepherd of the Desert - beautiful facility, but no pics) and unloaded her school boxes there; the former teacher hadn't moved completely out yet, so no moving in there.
so, yes, it is hot! (but it's a dry heat - whatever THAT means!) I'm sure K will get acclimated very soon. slept well last night - had a fan going all night, so that worked perfectly.
will add a couple of pics as well.
