so good to sit and relax; was tough day ... when you take TWO days off in the week, the last days get here quickly - and don'tcha know - the work needs to get done anyway? Got the powerpoints done for the service this weekend; got "Martha, Martha" ready for preachin'; got the lawn mowed, dog walked (with K), face fed (leftover salmon), clothes folded, blogs read, comments posted, and wondering what else to say.
still haven't figured the sense of this blogging - except to say that maybe it will "train" me to be faithful to publish it daily. gotta think of something to add (not Julia Child's meals for a year) - but something I can claim as my own. oh well, time will tell.
to all my faithful readership, g'nite!
Good morning from a weed infested plot of earth on the river. Already it is HOT. What's with that? We so enjoyed the coolness of OR/your patio...this seems like a hard return to reality! Mark's back out on the JD mowing to his heart's content. I attacked the front garden bed in front of the house. Those dern weeds that spread horizontally have become a midweek groundcover - unwanted as they be.
ReplyDeletetwo thoughts for you to mull:
1. I guess this one is a challenge. Post a picture. Yes, yes...it is time.
2. I would suggest that you share 'tidbits' of your study in preparation for upcoming sermons....as you did w/ Martha Martha. Your readership would like that.
Oh, I thought of a #3: Preparations made for your Germany trip. ie: passports; getting your MIL's to wherever (by the way...both of us think your invitation to them was extremely generous and thoughtful!)
Ok...think on that for today. My dryer buzzed...the weeds are still there...you get the picture.
Happy Saturday. We are thinking of Sisters, OR today - was it really only 1 week ago?
jdw
I meant midwest...not midweek. Argh.
