We were so pleased to have Flat-Lydia with us this past weekend. With all that was going on she provided a great break in all the other activities that were happening.
Karina was attending a Medical Symposium on Saturday and Sunday - therefore they (her office) gave her Monday off; For me it was Trinity Sunday - no doubt one of the hardest sermons to prepare - because the day deals with a "concept" rather than an "event." It's a whole lot easier relating to activities than to thought processes - if you listen to the sermon, "Who is this God I Believe In?" you'll hear my struggle with Arianism and Universalism and all the other "isms" that are countered in Trinitarianism. It may not even be worth listening to ... oh well, the folks at PoP got through it ...
But for the special guest!!! Flat Lydia arrived from Jesup, and boy did we ever have fun!!! We went to the beach on Sunday after services, and took in the whole time with joyful anticipation - ya know, we've never had our great niece here all alone before. We didn't know how she might react. But I reckon she will tell you all about it in her blog time - I'll just show a picture to prove we made it to the beach:
Oh, and Flat Lydia, tell your mom or dad that they can remove you newer 'flat-fish' name-tag by peeling it off - it won't tear your colorful dress. And thanks again for coming; hope you had as great a time as we did! And wasn't the clam chowder at Mo's the perfect ending to the perfect day! Do come again, but next time bring the rest of your family. We're looking forward to that.
This week we have a Pet Fair on Saturday ... 11:30 is Pet blessing time ... never done this before either; but have it pretty well figured out how it's going to be done. Will report on it next week. Maybe.
Also am "Keynote" speaker at our Kindergarten Graduation Friday night! Hope I don't get them too wound up before I try to say something important! Hah. It's won't be hard using my "age-6" brain to talk to these 5 year-olds! We relate really well! And I usually learn more from them than I ever let on ...
And that's about it from the left coast - thanks for letting us in on your regular and special activities - MN Wehrspanns and Ames-ites! Wish we knew your families by more than name ... but that's a great place to start!
til next time ...
Love ya.

beach-bums par exellance!
Lydia and I just read your post and she is smiling from ear to ear! She is thrilled to have visited the beach again with you, and happy that you kept Flat Lydia dry, as all she can remember from the beach is getting swept under the water as soon as we arrived! :) Thank you again for participating in her project. Love you! ~B&B
