this week getting ready for the "Lord's Prayer" and "Seek, Knock, and Ask" text in Luke 11. If you get a chance, I'm going to be sharing a personal event from my Spencer days that fits the application, I think, very well. Got the ppt. pretty well ready; including a YouTube video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3BMIJHZSavo don't know if that will jump from here. If not, go the YouTube and find "Sometimes He calms the Storm" by Scott Kryppayne. I thinks it's cool!
a short blog, but hopefully will include the video from the other night,
so once again,
a word from our baker:
that's it for now. g'nite.

Dan: the song is great. I have a plaque that hung for many years in our home - and still have it 'somewhere'. Sometimes God calms the storm and sometimes He calms the child. This and a little message your father wrote us sustained us during the very dark days of Lakeside in the 1991-92 times. That and part of a Psalm (i think) Is anything too hard for the Lord?
ReplyDeleteMuffin Lady: That's just cruel - eating a muffin in front of us! :) I was going to make raspberry muffins, but after thawing them, they were SAD looking. So we ate them on a dab of ice cream last night. I hope to get some fresh berries this next week to make your muffins before Ben's family returns for the weekend. (Ben's 20th class reunion!!! He's making smoked pulled pork sandwiches for his classmates!
Ok, now, since you are working on another sermon we just listened to Mary/Martha before starting the day. I'm struggling to find the right adjectives, so I'll say...it gave us much to consider and reflect on. It spoke to us! And, we can understand the glad handing you received on it after church!
ReplyDeleteside note: over 3" of rain last night while we 'slept'. More predictions of volatile weather tonight. The river is UP.
